**New Classes**

Improvisation (NEW Mondays @ 4:30) 

with Kim will guide dancers to find themselves in a world of play and imagination where they will explore creative expression through movement. Dance improvisation is the process of spontaneously creating movement and finding choreography from within. Students learn to create using techniques developed by well-known dance artists such as William Forsythe, Merce Cunningham, Ann Bogart, Steve Paxton, and Ohad Naharin. Dancers will expand their movement style and vocabulary to find creative expression through movement and to develop a relationship between dance and music. This class incorporates individual improv as well as contact/group improv. Improvisation compliments ALL dance styles and enriches and deepens dance practice.

Functional Fitness (NEW Monday nights @ 7:30pm & Thursday mornings @ 8:30am)

is a class based fitness routine designed for all abilities and fitness levels, ages 14-Adult. Functional Fitness is perfect for a Pretenders dancer looking to improve dance performance through strength and stamina and also for a Pretenders parent looking for an approachable, consistent, time friendly fitness routine. This is fitness for life, no gimmicks and nothing ridiculous--you’ll be challenged, you’ll sweat and you’ll leave feeling like you got a good workout and looking forward to the next one! Due to the individualized approach of this class we are capping the class size to only a few lucky people. Also, Rob is offering private training available by appointment.
